Vanaja Cotroneo
Vanaja Cotroneo is a Toronto-based artist with over 25 years of experience. Her art is a visual narrative inspired by her extensive travels, exploring subjects from intimate miniatures to large-scale canvases.
She has exhibited and sold her work in numerous juried shows and received many awards. Vanaja is also known for her pet portraits, donating 10% to animal welfare charities. Her artistic foundation was shaped by mentorship from esteemed artists and in 2024, she was invited to judge two art competitions - Panorama India and Freedom ’24.
An active member of five art organizations, Vanaja has proudly served The Art Guild of Scarborough for nearly 25 years, including nine years as Exhibition Chair.
Her recent Zodiac collection merges her two passions - art and Vedic astrology - into one vibrant, symbolic body of work.
