Brenda LaRose
Brenda is a contemporary representational landscape painter who lives in Halton Hills, Ontario and has been painting for over 30 years. Her art education consisted of hands-on learning with a wide variety of mediums and many types of subject matter over the years. Her time spent in northern Ontario in the last 10 years has ignited a passion for scenes with water, rocks, trees and most especially the sun.
Currently, she is using palette knives and thick acrylic paint on canvas to express the serenity of the lake scenes that provide her with a balm for the chaos of the current world. Her hope is that these paintings connect with others who have spent time in our great northern playground and also want that influence in their daily life.
Brenda has exhibited at a variety of galleries, shows and venues in the Greater Toronto Area, Milton, Georgetown and Alton, as well as participating in a variety of art fairs in the Muskoka area.
She is currently on the Public Art Advisory Board in her local area, providing guidance on local public art projects.
