Belinda carmichael
Trained in traditional jewellery and silversmithing, Belinda began her career in Birmingham’s historic Jewellery Quarter, working alongside skilled jewellers and gem setters. She later designed fashion jewellery in London, drawing inspiration from travels through Italy, France, and the Czech Republic — a time filled with materials, markets, and joyful experimentation.
Now based in Canada, she has returned to the jeweller’s bench, handcrafting every piece using classic tools and techniques. Working solely in sterling silver, her current collections reflect a love of folklore, nature, and storytelling — from delicately pierced wild animals to a whimsical cuckoo clock necklace. She is drawn to simple silhouettes, but also to the ornate, the curious, and the slightly magical. Her designs aim to blend traditional craftsmanship with a playful spirit and a deep appreciation for the handmade.
