Sierra Peca is a second-generation Maltese/Italian Canadian painter. She graduated from the University of Toronto’s Art & Art History and Professional Writing & Communication programs. Her paintings explore mundanity, nostalgia, and everyday life influenced by her family, heritage, and surroundings. With a passion for art and writing, she has also published a book titled Mizia focused on the life of 16th-century artist Artemisia Gentileschi.
Sierra is a resident of Visual Arts Mississauga’s Creative Residency (VCR). VCR is an opportunity for emerging youth artists in Mississauga to participate in an 8-month production, exhibition, and mentorship program with a focus on collaboration, education, and professional development.
