For the fifth year, Arts on the Credit, the annual fine art and craft show, will highlight the curated work of 41 talented local artists at the prestigious Waterside Inn in Port Credit. Our 2016 show falls on April 9th and 10th, 11 am – 5 pm each day. Our usual admission fee at the door is five dollars, however, right now there are show tickets on sale 2 for 1 at Eventbrite for a limited time. Each year, remarkable new visual artists and craftspeople are introduced to Mississaugans, exhibiting side by side with established local artists, and giving those interested in the creative process an opportunity to interact directly with the creators of their one-of- a-kind purchases.
In order to maintain the initiative, Arts on the Credit has launched an “Indiegogo” campaign to help fund their annual show in support of the artists. Arts on the Credit is committed to assisting and mentoring new talent and expanding our vibrant art community, and we are now asking for the support of the community. We, at Arts on the Credit, believe that an engaged cultural hub in our city is key to our future growth, and do feel that this initiative tive could provide a unique opportunity for art lovers and allow us to continue with our growth. The artists are participating too, and there are some wonderful perks for contributing to the campaign. The Waterside Inn has donated a room and breakfast on the night of April 9th and this contributor will also be invited to have dinner with the artists on Saturday, April 9th following the show.
