ARTWORKS November 6th and 7th, 2021
Arts on the Credit is planning a new initiative to create a NEW art experience with an Artworks exhibition in November, 2021. This event will show 2 and 3 dimensional work along side wearable art, providing an opportunity for all our artists to show and sell their work.
We will be following all covid protocols that might still be asked of us in November. We will be asking for pre-registration. Stay tuned for more information.
Looking forward to seeing everyone again in person.
Special Guest Textile Artist – Pat Burns-Wendland
Pat Burns-Wendland’s fibre career started with handspinning receiving the designation of Master Spinner in 1983 from the Ontario Handweavers and Spinners. Weaving was a natural progression, then sewing and designing garments from the handwoven and dyed cloth. She graduated from Seneca College receiving high honours in the Dressmaking Certificate Program.
Surface design has become a large part of Pat’s repertoire adding texture to the handwoven cloth. Pat weaves with the best fine silk yarns when making her fabrics. She dyes the fabric and then prints, stitches and embellishes the garments. The kimonos are always lined with silk, also dyed to enhance the outside fabric.
Pat’s kimonos are exquisite and museum quality works that we are honoured to share with you, our audience.
